Inna Schadikin - Range Rover for Russia

Specifics for a new market

'Range Rover for Russia' addresses a 'contrast' theme in both concept and execution. Targeting young Russians who “are part of the cosmopolitan world” but who are also true to their roots, this elegant SUV provides an answer to a challenging environment whilst retaining an emphasis on form.

The contrast in the tangible product is delivered through the use of dark birch wood, a traditional Russian material, and a lighter metallic material that emphasises modernity.

Whilst the front graphic is recongnisable as a Range Rover (due to flat, sheer surfaces and straight lines), the rear marks a departure from the firm's usual design language, as the tailgate tapers to meet an overhanging rear valence.
