Ido Baruchin
I present projects which represent my design philosophy and values – as a person and a designer. Working on these projects, I strived to stay loyal; to those values, which strengthened throughout the RCA Vehicle Design course. In each project, I was conscious of the consequences of my proposals, and to reflect my responsibilities and duties to society as a designer.
Otto
The Otto system offers a new solution to vehicle design and manufacturing which, by responding to local differences, will create a product that better responds to its specific context. This involves both global and local manufacturing (using local labour, craft and materials) towards a vehicle, which is tailored to its context. The Otto system therefore brings social and ecological sustainability to vehicle manufacturing and design.
